Workforce Development in the Capital Region
Educating and developing a workforce for heat pump techology is critcial to deploying the technology. That’s why the HeatSmart Capital Region campaign will be presenting information on clean heating and cooling (CH&C) technology and related campaign initiatives to college classrooms, schools organizations and at HVAC companies in the Capital District. These presentations will encourage students and traditional HVAC installers to pursue CH&C training opportunities developed through the campaign. Each presentation will explain CH&C technology, as well as the considerable need and opportunities for qualified trained workers. By expressing the expected growth of the CH&C field and the need for a trained workforce, we are hoping to inspire students to become interested in pursuing careers in CH&C technologies.
At the end of the promotional presentations the group will be invited to some awesome opportunities to learn more, including a speed networking event in which students and prospective employees can speak with heat pump installers.
